He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Theresa Kearns; his parents, George Kearns and Florence Kearns of Braintree, MA.; and his siblings, William, Richard (Dick), Paul, David Kearns, Jeanne Nash (Kearns), Marie LeBlanc (Kearns) and Elaine Weldon (Kearns).
He is survived by: his siblings, Irene Hayes of Braintree, Louise Kearns of Dorchester and Denis Kearns of Norwell; his daughter Denise Lee Kearns (Frederick Witsell) of Pawling, NY; and his grandchildren, Joseph Timothy Kearns (Linda Krewduk Kearns) of Hanover, MA, John Pierre Kearns of Manomet, MA, Patrick Kearns (Dawn Sanseverino-Kearns), Haley, Kate, Meaghen, Amy, Shannen, Julie, Cooper and Connor.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Leo's name to NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI.ORG).
