Joseph R. Lebbossiere Obituary
Joseph R. of Braintree, formerly of South Boston, St. Matthew Parish Dorchester and Quincy, passed unexpectedly on July 23, 2023 one day before his 64th birthday. Beloved husband of Susan (Stellberger) Lebbossiere. Loving father of Jennifer Lebbossiere of Braintree and Timothy Lebbossiere and his fiancé Steffanie Kraucunas of Norwood. Dear son of the late Louis A. and Eileen (Lovett) Lebbossiere. Devoted brother of Patricia Lebbossiere of Norwell, Paul Lebbossiere and his wife Maryanne of Abington, Mark Lebbossiere and his wife Christine of Stoughton, John Lebbossiere of Dorchester, Julie (Lebbossiere) Pitts and her husband Keith of Weymouth and the late Louis Lebbossiere. Also survived by 15 nieces and nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews and his much loved cat "Cookie". Known to many as "Joe Lebbo" he left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a contagious personality and made friends everywhere he went. Joe enjoyed laughter and getting daily jokes from friends and family. He loved Boston sports, watching golf on television and sitting on the front porch at Hampton Beach with a Miller Lite. Joe played softball for many years and was a member of the Collins Club, Garret Club and Powell Club of Quincy. Most of all, Joe loved spending time with his wife, children, family and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during visiting hours on Monday, July 31st from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington Street, Braintree. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 1st in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, Braintree at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to honor Joe's former doctor and friend John Mahoney, who died of covid during the early days of the pandemic.
