She was predeceased by: her parents, John Whalen and Mary Whalen (Martin); and her siblings, John J. Whalen, Jr., Mia, Benjamin and Matthew.

She is survived by: her son Nicholas Campbell (Michelle) of Weymouth; and her siblings, James Whalen, Mary Fernald of Braintree and Thomas Whalen of Braintree. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
