It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James W Rooney (Braintree, Massachusetts), who passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rooney and Marion Rooney (Briggs); and his son Mark E. Rooney. He is survived by: his siblings, Robert, William Rooney, Norma Jensen and Jean Ridgely; his children, Claire Lydon, Paula Rooney, Karen Palumbo (Robert Palumbo) and Neil O. Rooney; his grandchildren, Kerri Lydon (Dana Shaw), Patrick Lydon (Heather), Anthony Lydon (Caroline Snow), Rob and Bella Palumbo; and his great grandchildren, Aurora Fay, Julien Lydon, Maeve, Miles Lydon and Dana Shaw.
