He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah Faison Brown and Thomas Brown; his son Vernon Brown; and his siblings, Susanna, Annie Mae, Thomas, Charlie and Lee.
He is survived by: his sister Annie Lois Johnson of Virginia; and his children, Vivian Martin (Kevin) of Las Vegas, Victor Vines of Boston, Mass., Valda Vines of Boston, Mass. and James Brown Jr. of Boston, Mass.. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church (950 Linkhaw Rd, Lumberton, NC 28358). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at the McNeill Family Cemetery (779 Lovette Rd, Lumberton, NC 28358).
