She was predeceased by: her husband Luther; her parents, Eudora Marshall and Eric Marshall; her daughter-in-law Sonya; and her grandchildren, Derrick and Azzareya.

A funeral Mass was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the St. Marks Episcopal Church (73 Columbia Rd, Boston, MA 02121). Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church (230 Warren St, Boston, MA 02119). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Hills Cemetery (95 Forest Hills Ave, Boston, MA 02130).
