DeCosta (Boston, Massachusetts), born in Hampton, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 25, 2024 at the age of 78. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Marvin may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas (Sue DeCosta). He is survived by: his wife Ahzella; his grandson Gregory Burnett, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Telesha L. Mervin of Boston, MA.; his sister-in-law Marian Decosta; his siblings, James P. Hagood of Hampton, S. C. and Merilyn; his brother-in-law Jackie Weaver of Boston, MA.; his brother Randolph; and his sister-in-law Charmaine (C. A.).
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church (230 Warren St, Boston, MA 02119). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
