She was predeceased by: her parents, Maggie Ray and Arthur Shaw; her husband Josephus; and her sister Hannah. She is survived by: her children, Joseph (Renee Ellis), Bettie, Linda and Sandra Lewis (Leslie); her grandchildren, Sonya, Steven, Michele Vasquez (Ron) and Willie Lewis Murray III (Tré); her great grandchildren, Briana, Téa and Kai; and her aunts, Lillie and Lil (Malloy).
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Bethel A. M. E. Church (40 Walk Hill St, Boston, MA 02130). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Hills Cemetery (95 Forest Hills Ave, Boston, MA 02130).
She was also a member of the Senior Choir, Flower Club and all acts of charity.
