He was predeceased by: his parent Joseph J. Hayes; and his sibling Joseph Hayes. He is survived by: his parent Mary L. Hayes (Russell); his spouse Diane Hayes (Heatley); his children, Christopher Hayes and Joal Hayes (Jennifer); and his siblings, Daniel Hayes, Edith "DeeDee" Hayes, JeanMarie Hayes and Mary Harris. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
