He is survived by: his brother Donald Bavaro; his nieces and nephews, Michael, Maria (Brian), Robin (Chris), Mark (Susie) and David (Erin); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Domenic, Bella, Sophia, George, Grace, Dominic and Lucas.

His gift was bringing the Gospel teachings to life and showing by example how to live our Christian faith. He was compassionate, especially for the poor and homeless, he loved children & animals (especially his Jake), his Franciscan brothers/teachings, his love of all things Italian (oh his cooking) & especially his love of his family made him a mentor to so many & left such an impact-especially on me.”
