She was predeceased by: her parents, Duane Buchanan and Lynette Maupin; and her grandmother Marsha S. Maupin. She is survived by: her children, Da'Quan Buchanan and Kalisha Buchanan; her grandson Amar'e Buchanan; her sisters, Marsha Maupin and Danya Maupin; her cousins, Dalton Maupin and Jamal Maupin; and her close friend Kara Burge. She is also survived by relatives including aunts, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
