Charles J. Coggio Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles J. Coggio (Boston, Massachusetts), who passed away on November 30, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Charles had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Charles may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma M. "Thel" (Witham); his parents, Anna Coggio (Scrima) and Jerome Coggio; and his brother Paul Coggio. He is survived by: his daughters, Candace Wolf (Frank) of Ft. Pierce, FL and Cathy Surette (Dwayne) of Lynn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph-St. Lazarus Church (59 Ashley St, East Boston, MA 02128). A burial will be held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at the Woodlawn Cemetery (302 Elm St, Everett, MA 02149).
In lieu of flowers donations in Charlie's memory to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriner's Hospital for Children would be appreciated.
