He is survived by: his children, Patricia Allen, Alicia Allen and Samir Allen; his stepson David McBride; his sister Evelina Suarez Smith; and his grandchildren, Mikella Allen, Mikel Witherstoor, Violet Thompson, J'Quan Allen-Jones, Hope Allen Gonzalez, Alicia Levi, Avery McBride and Addison McBride.
