He was predeceased by: his parents, Lomax Layne and Viola Layne; his siblings, Helen and Richard; and his nephew Michael.
He is survived by: his significant other Ethel; his siblings, Winston (Martha) and Patricia; his sister-in-law Jean; his niece Tonisha (Robert); his great-nephew Marqis; his goddaughter Faith; and also Carter.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Episcopal Church of Saint Augustine (29 Lenox St, Roxbury, MA 02118).
