She was predeceased by: her husband Charles A. Menard; her parents, Napoleon Plasse and Lea Plasse (Girard); her daughter Madeline Martineau (Bruce) of Florida; and her sibling Aldor.
She is survived by: her children, Sylvia Fontaine (late Raymond) of Burrillville, RI, Charles R. Menard (Patricia) of Glendale, RI, Violet Theroux of Blackstone, MA, Lucien A. Menard (Linda) of Florida, Maurice E. Menard (Jeanne) of Woonsocket, RI and Jeannette Menard of Wrentham, MA; and her siblings, Theodore, Roland, Leonard, Cecile, Bernadette Plasse, Florence Guilmette and Violet Hogue. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Rita E. Menard to the Blackstone Senior Center or Aging Well Senior Services of Woonsocket would be appreciated.
