We are sad to announce that on April 29, 2025, Mary Ellen (Rafferty) McAvoy of Billerica, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James McAvoy, Jr.; her parents, Joseph E. and Barbara Rafferty (LaCasse); and her brother-in-law Mark Whitcomb. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Michael J. Daley, Allyson Rivers (Daniel), Patrick McAvoy (Raya Hankin), Shaun McAvoy and Sydney McAvoy; her children, Scott P. McAvoy (Donna) of Billerica and Michele M. Daley (Brian Stark) of Billerica; and her siblings, Joseph Rafferty Jr. (Norma Nardone) of Maine, Thomas Rafferty (Denise) of Woburn, Robert "Fuzzy" Rafferty (Jane), Janice Rafferty of Woburn and Barbara Whitcomb (late Mark) of Bradford.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home (263 Main St, Woburn, MA 01801). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Charles Church (280 Main St, Woburn, MA 01801).
