He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Anita Gass (Bertini); his parents, Raymond E. Gass and Margaret Gass (Chaplin); his children, Patricia Collinge (Daniel) of Tyngsboro, Linda Gass of South Windsor, CT, Karen Filippone (David) of Billerica, Marilyn Smith (Brian) of Nashua, NH, James Gass of South Boston and John Gass (Kelly) of Windham, NH; his daughter-in-law Linda A. Gass of Lowell; his niece Margaret Peterson of Woburn; his sons, Edward R. Gass III and David P. Gass; his grandson Stephen P. Gass; and his brothers, Donald of Arlington and John of Myrtle Beach. He was also cherished by 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
