He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd MacArthur and Isabelle MacArthur (MacCall); his girlfriend Ellen Hardy; and his sisters, Catherine "Kay" MacLeod and Mae Matthews.
He is survived by: his children, Donald A. MacArthur Jr. (Rick Fyffe) and Wendy K. MacArthur of Billerica; his grandchildren, Cael and Colin Lennon; and his sister Ann MacKinnon of Nova Scotia.
