He is survived by: his children, Gabrielle Scharn, Jack Scharn and Jared Vitale; his grandson Marcus Wright of Billerica; and his siblings, Steven Scharn, Janis Horsley of Hudson, NH, Kristine Beaulieu of Westford, David Scharn of Dunstable, Robert Scharn of Ayer, Lisa Downie, Dean Scharn, Scott Scharn of Saugus, Brian Scharn of Amesbury and Diana Lynn "Dede" Scharn of Lowell.
