He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maureen Tainter (Canty); his children, Megan, Ryan and Francis; his parents, Edward Tainter and Diane Tainter; his sibling Glenn (Sandy) of Virginia Beach; and his brother-in-law Kevin Canty (Mary Ellen) of Billerica.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bruce's name to Canty Prior Scholarship, c/o K of C, 15 Winslow St., Arlington, MA 02474.
