He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ryan and Anna Ryan (Burton); and his close friend Maureen Oikle. He is survived by: his children, Margaret Bright-Ryan (Stephen Wrobleski) of Westfield, John Ambrose (Kendell) of Hamilton and Timothy Ryan (Heather Forand) of Boxford; and his grandchildren, James, Samantha, Liam, Scarlett and Celia.
