She was predeceased by: her father Vincent R. DeStefano; her grandparents, Eva L. Mercurio, Eleanor and George DeStefano; and her close friend Kathy.
She is survived by: her mother Claire L. DeStefano (Mercurio); her children, Sean R., Courtney Sullivan of Virginia, Corey D. Sullivan, Megan Francis of Woburn and Attorney Robert D. Sullivan of New York; her brothers, Robert G. DeStefano of Saugus and Paul V. DeStefano of Saugus; her uncle Richard; her aunt Josephine DeStefano of Middleton; and her close friends, Camille, Elaine, Elisa, Barbie, Donna, Joan and Renee. She is also survived by family, including her brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and their children.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Valerie's memory to the Kaplan Family Hospice House through Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA.
