In the sacred silence of farewell, Philip is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Philip's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip W. Johnston and Elizabeth Johnston (Foley). He is survived by: his wife Beverly R. Johnston (Balestrier); his children, Ellen Johnston of Boston, MA and Robert Johnston (Joanne Katsch) of Los Angeles, CA; his granddaughter Priscilla Johnston; and his sisters, Beth Healey of Princeton and Suzanne Knight of Milton, MA..
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Umass Boston Campus Center (100 Morrissey Blvd, Boston, MA 02125).
