She was predeceased by: her husband David S. Whitaker; her parents, Leslie R. Hicks and Florence Hicks (Lacombe); and her sister Joanne Warner (Jan). She is survived by: her brother Robert "Hicksy" Hicks of Wenham; her children, John, Jamie, Jim, Jay and Joel; and her grandchildren, Hailey, Zachary, Justine, Schyler, Jakob and Jason. She is also survived by family, Fran leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Fran's memory to a cause that was close to her heart, the MSPCA at Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01970 .
