He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Bennett and Dorothy Rebecca Terry-Fields; and his brothers, Frank Terry, John Bennett and Wilbert Sewell.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor B. Adams-Bennett; his daughters, Candice Bennett, Tamala Bennett, Paris Bennett, Rebecca (Bennett), Certain (Nicholas Certain) and Carla Barbesco; his siblings, George Lee Bennett (Myra Bennett), Willie Mark Pierce, Tom Pierce (Gabriele Pierce) and Charlotte Mendez; and his grandchildren, Tayten, Elijah, Kyren, Arley, Dae'Jon, Kendell, Kamryn, Braylon, Kassidy, Amanii, Khalen, K'Lon and Alicia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association (https://diabetes.org) in the name of Sam's mother, Dorothy Rebecca Terry-Fields.
