He was predeceased by: his siblings, Paul Silvagni and Juanita Kitterman. He is survived by: his wife Maxine Silvano of Pittsfield; his son Richard E. Silvano, Jr.; his wife Paula Silvano of Pittsfield; his daughters, Melanie Silvano of Hinsdale, NH and Suzane Silvano of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Sarah Oduro (Kwame), Racheal Silvano, Mitchelle Forfa, Richard Silvano III, Ryan Silvano, Caleb Nhim and Thea Nhim; his great grandchildren, Brandon Silvano, Elijah Oduro and Eva Oduro; his siblings, Gene Silvagni of Pittsfield and Faye Kalinski of Pittsfield; and also John Silvano (Brenda) of North Adams. He is also survived by many brother and sister-in-laws.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter or Disabled Veterans of America, in care of the funeral home.
