He was predeceased by: his sister Alice Bourdeau; his son John Lausier; his son-in-law Ed Powers; and his grandson Brandon Powers. He is survived by: his wife Angelina Lausier of Pittsfield; his children, Carol Powers of Pittsfield, Richard Lausier (Diane) of Pittsfield, Edward Lausier (Lisa) of Pittsfield and Mark Lausier (Katie) of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, E. J. Powers III (Gina), Timothy, Michael, Daniel and Joseph Lausier; his sisters, Rose Alessio (Ugo) of Pittsfield and Lorraine Daoust (Robert) of Texas; and his brother-in-law Leo Bourdeau.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or the Massachusetts Special Olympics, in care of the funeral home.
