He was predeceased by: his son Bob Neil; and his grandchild Allison Neil. He is survived by: his spouse Emma Proctor; and his children, Terese Balsamo of Pittsfield, Katherine Neil of Ocala, FL, David Neil of Lanesborough and Clifford Neil Jr. of Summerville, FL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Lanesboro VFW Food Pantry in care of the funeral home.
