She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Lillian Pickard; her husband David Shaffer Sr.; her children, David Shaffer, Jr. (Charlene) of Pawtucket, RI, Amanda Poirier (James III) of Cranston, RI and Brigitte Shaffer (Ryan Potter) of Providence, RI.; her grandchildren, Elliot Poirier and Elle Shaffer; her siblings, Cheryl Califano of Milford, MA, Lisa Pickard of Somerset, MA, Steven Pickard of Assonet, MA, James Pickard (Karen) of Swansea, MA and John Pickard (Gina) of St. Petersburg, FL; and her aunt Lorraine Powers.
