She was predeceased by: her husband James F. Borden; her parents, Frederick Askew and Nancy Askew (Chace); her daughter Carol E. Chace of No; and her siblings, Robert Askew, Gifford Askew, Nancy Bradbury and Katherine Whiston.

She is survived by: her children, Stephen Borden of Seekonk, MA, Peter J. Borden of Somerset, MA and Patricia B. Silvia of Berkley, MA; and her sister Susan Cantara of Fall River. She is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
