He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Courtney and Dorothy Courtney of Belmont, MA.. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Jones, Sarah Courtney Owens, Michael Courtney Jr., Kathryn Roy and Richard Courtney; and his siblings, Thomas F. Courtney Jr. and Patricia Graham. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
