He is survived by: his wife Shirley Viles Sampson; his daughter Joanna Sampson of Suffield, CT; his siblings, Deborah Edwards of Hingham, MA and Thomas Sampson of North Easton, MA; his grandchildren, Sarah Whitehouse and Benjamin Whitehouse of Suffield, CT; and his extended family, Barbara Sampson, Chris Hamilton, Sam Hamilton, Cynthia Neely, Theodore Wadsworth, Leila Wadsworth, Anna Wadsworth and Emma Wadsworth.
