He was predeceased by: his wife Mary E. Kelly (Edwards). He is survived by: his daughter Cynthia D. Norman; his grandchildren, Shana K. Carvalho (Victor), Taylor L. Norman, Devin M. Norman, Mairead M. Kelly and Brian J. Kelly II; his great grandchildren, Kai and Caden Carvalho; his siblings, Robert F. Ohanesian, Maureen Kelly, Andrea Pasodoro and Janice Doherty; and his close friend Patricia A. Currie of Belmont.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home (36 Trapelo Rd, Belmont, MA 02478). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Camillus Church (1175 Concord Turnpike, Arlington, MA 02476).

In lieu of flowers donation may be made in his memory to the MSPCA.

“I wish to extend my most sincere condolences to Patricia and Gerry’s family. Not only was Gerry a great Ancient but an even better friend. I always felt I had his support as I rose in the ranks. When I was a SGT in 2012, I always made sure Gerry had a glass wine glass and not a paper cup for his Chardonnay. I am proud to have been known as one of Gerry’s color guard.
