He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Elizabeth "Betsy" Gemelli; his daughters, Dolores Nemet (Christopher) and Darlene Allegro (Christopher); his grandchildren, Liliana and Joseph; and his siblings, Carmen Filleti (Theresa), Bruno Filleti and Carmella Shea. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Lukes Church (132 Lexington St, Belmont, MA 02478). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
