It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley S. Downey (Bellingham, Massachusetts), born in Campton, New Hampshire, who passed away on October 5, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel Downey; and her brothers, Ivan, John W. and Ernest Saunders. She is survived by: her children, Daniel Jr. (Roberta) of Montpelier and Susan Berry (James) of New Bedford; her grandchildren, Scott Downey (Jessica) of Toronto, Canada, Karin Downey of Montpelier, Vermont, Joshua Berry (Andrea Dulko) of San Jose, California and Christopher Berry (Carolyn) of Quincy, Massachusetts; her great grandchild Jane Downey of Toronto, Canada.; and her sister Joyce Mayhew of Campton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
