He was predeceased by: his wife Therese I. Cournoyer (Leduc); his parents, Adelard Cournoyer and Aldea Cournoyer (Beauregard); and his siblings, Omer, Lucien, Roland, Roger Cournoyer, Rita Demers, Lucille Fleuette and Gloria Delpivo.

He is survived by: his daughter Jane M. Roy (Richard Girard) of Cumberland, RI; and his grandson Peter Roy of Thailand. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
