He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ayer and Catherine Ayer (Leach); and his sister Cathy Ayer. He is survived by: his wife Debra Ayer (Cordeiro); his daughters, Tracie Sarette (Wade) of Old Saybrook and Meghan Daniels (Richard) of Douglas; his grandchildren, Annalise, Audrey, Annette and A. J.; and his brother Michael Ayer of Kingston.
