He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Dexter and Viola Dexter (Young); and his former wife Ruth Dexter (Cleveland). He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Dexter (Montross); his children, Regina Wright (David), Marlene Rule (Robert), Deanna Wiseman and Richard II (Susan); and his stepchildren, Caren Ouellette-Bragg, Donna Kozub and Diane Ouellette-Holden. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
