Gates of Belchertown, Massachusetts, born in Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 21, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Pera and Elsie Pera (Stewart); her husband Edward Gates; her sisters, Pauline and Doris; and her daughter-in-law Cheryl Gates.

She is survived by: her children, James Gates (Mary) of Belchertown, David Gates of Belchertown and Laura Clark (Greg) of Belchertown; and her grandchildren, Joshua, Tamra, Cynthia, Karen, Katelyn, Michael and Daniel. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Daughter of the Nile, Ahlem Temple No. 84, (all donations go to the Shriners Hospital) 146 Celebration Circle, Chicopee, MA 01020.
