We are sad to announce that on June 20, 2019, at the age of 105, Sophie Vietas (Bedford, Massachusetts), born in Ludlow, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Ferreira of Alcobaca and Maria Rosario Ferreira (Rocha) of Vimeiro; her husband Frank Vietas; her son John Vietas; and her son-in-law Bob Baum.

She is survived by: her children, Lawrence Vietas of Newington, NH and Janet Baum of Canton, CT; her grandchildren, Jack Vietas (Serena), Stefanie St Germain (Michael), Jim Baum (Brenda), Jay Vietas (Jennifer), Bill Vietas (Sharon), Bob Vietas (Jessica), Brooke LaFave (Brian) and Luke Vietas (Emily); and her great grandchildren, Sofie, Joshua, Cassandra, Holly, Christopher, Monica, Grey, Patrick, Merek, Stephen, Beckett, Matthias, Audrey, Watson, Maggie, John, Jane, Sebastian, Elizabeth and James.
