He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Wilhelmsen (O'Hanrahan); and his brother Kåre Wilhelmsen. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Wilhelmsen (Smith); his sons, Jon Wilhelmsen (Ann Sobolewski) of Plympton, MA and Hans Wilhelmsen of Somerville, MA; his grandchildren, Christian and Brendan of Plympton; his brother Svein Erik Wilhelmsen of Asker, Norway; his nephew Jørgen; and his niece Ingeborg.
