He was predeceased by: his wife Norma H. Whittinghill; and his son David H. Whittinghill. He is survived by: his son Dexter C. Whittinghill III (E. Jane) of Pitman, NJ; and his grandchildren, Kyle Ann, Leigh Jane and Sarah Beth.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. FL. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
