She was predeceased by: her parents, George B. Smith and Ethel P. Smith; her husband George K. Howe; her brother Richard "Dick" Smith; and her grandfather George (Beverly).
She is survived by: her children, Beverly H. Berndt of Maryland, Nancy Nishi of Japan and George Howe, Jr. of Minnesota. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and more than 15 great-grandchildren.
She requested that donations be made to Carleton-Willard Village, 100 Old Billerica Rd., Bedford, MA 01730, instead of flowers.
