It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Newell of Barre, Massachusetts, born in Leominster, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 29, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Howard; his children, Ellen Canavan (Jack) of Sturbridge, MA, Richard J. Newell (Maria) of Barre, MA, David Newell (Alina) of Chula Vista, CA and Tom Newell (Lisa) of Hardwick, MA.; his grandchildren, John (Michelle), Tommy Canavan, Trevor (Colleen), Matt Newell, Kendal (Newell), Katie (Newell) and Reagan (Billy); his great grandchildren, Weston, Kyle Newell, Conor, Rowan Canavan, Irelynn Pollier and Teddy Reagan; his wife Margaret Newell; his son Michael; and his great grandchild Emery Pollier.
There will be no calling hours due to COVID. A Mass of Christian burial will be private in St. Joseph's Catholic Church South St. in Barre.
