He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ioannis Macheras and Kalliopi Macheras (Hartofili); his siblings, Evangelia Vasiliadou (Macheras), Konstantinos Macheras (Kosta) and Nicholas Mahairas; his wife Heather Macheras; his children, Yannis Macheras, Sophia Macheras, Alexander Macheras and Christian Macheras; his grandchildren, Victoria Macheras, Lily Macheras, India DeMasi and Theodore "Teddy" Macheras; his nieces, Eleni Mastin (Macheras), Kalliopi Perveris (Macheras) and Kalliopi Vasiliadou; his nephew Vasilis Vasiliadou; and his great-nephews, George Mastin and Lucas Mastin.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Funeral Home of Doane Beal & Ames (160 W Main St, Hyannis, MA 02601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the The West End (20 Scudder Ave, Hyannis, MA 02601).
