He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Shimmer" and Delia Griffin (Lawless); his sisters, Mary Kelly (Thomas) of Brewster, Laura Mace (Richard "Dick") of Stoughton and Margaret Griffin of Dorchester; and his brother-in-law Joseph McEvoy of Weymouth.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Marie Griffin (Scaro); his children, James P. Griffin of Sagamore Beach, Diane M. Munsell (David P. Munsell Jr.) of Barnstable, Robert G. Griffin (Brona Elgut) of Marstons Mills, Lisa A. Brennan, Bridgewater and Jeanne Tuthill (Richard Tuthill) of Amherst; and his sister Louise McEvoy of Pembroke. He is also survived by 18 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The VNA Of Cape Cod, Hospice – directed to Hospice Nursing Education, or Shriner's Children's Hospital.
