He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl A. Carlson and Hazel I. Carlson (Sawtelle); his wife Kathleen D. Carlson (Landry); his sons, Mark S. Carlson of Shirley and Dana Carlson of Shirley; and his brother Donald Carlson.
He is survived by: his daughter Diana Gendron (Michael "Mickey" Gendron) of Shirley; his daughter-in-law Margaret "Peggy" Carlson of Shirley; his godson Michael Luth (Jennifer Luth) of Groton; his grandchildren, Denise Carlson, Dena Smith of Maine, Kyle Bouchey, Justin Carlson and Megan Ritter of Fitchburg; his great grandchildren, Burton, Riley, Alexis, Logan, Kylen, George, Jaliyah and James; and his siblings, William Carlson and Evelyn Carlson of Shirley.
