He was predeceased by: his parents, Denis Callahan and Margaret Callahan (Lynch); his wife Laura J. Callahan (Jordan); and his siblings, John Callahan of Arlington, Ann Tibbetts of New Gloucester, ME, Margaret Callahan of West Yarmouth, Mary Guarente of Wellesley and Eileen Perini of Dover.

He is survived by: his sons, D. Christopher Callahan of Arlington, John P. Callahan (Tessa) of Wilmington, MA, Luke R. Callahan (Shannon) of Wilmington, MA and Matthew J. Callahan (Lauren) of Wilmington, MA; his sisters, Noreen Cronin of Westborough, Kathleen Grannan of Andover and Christine Shanley of Reading; and his grandchildren, Rowan Callahan, Josephine Callahan, Finn Callahan, Nolan Callahan, Angelina Callahan, Bailey Callahan and Bryce Callahan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
