Thornton of Avon; his granddaughter Daisy Lee Bates; his siblings, Thomas Thornton (Leslie) of Dorchester and Sarah Kelley of Avon; his cousin Joanne Kuzborski (Joe) of Avon; and his brother-in-law William Mitchell of Maine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
