He was predeceased by: his father George McKechnie; his brother Jacob McKechnie; and his grandparents, Meryl (Baier), Jesse Tebbetts, Anne (Wright) and Robert McKechnie.

He is survived by: his mother Karyll McKechnie (Tebbetts); and his brother Aaron McKechnie (Deeann) of California. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles and many cousins.
